| The man who introduced the soprano saxophone to modern jazz, Steve Lacy met new challenges all his life. After many decades in Paris, he returned to teach in Boston just before his death in 2004. As well as leading a combo and giving solo concerts, he was involved with creating jazz tone poems to Beat poetry. |
